I know the last month has been rough for a lot of traders.
Checking the account every 10 minutes, stress eating, reading every headline trying to figure out if this is the bottom or just a dead cat bounce, snapping at people, losing sleep. Wondering if they should sell everything, buy more, or just do nothing and hope for the best.
That's not trading. That's suffering. I used to be there too.
And here's the part that stings... All that stress and obsessing doesn't actually help. Predicting which way the market moves next is basically a coin flip. You can stress about it or not stress about it. The odds don't change either way. The fear of losing money usually leads to you losing money.
There's a different game. One where you are out living life. I know this because I've had a really nice month (regardless of the short term direction of the market).
When fear spikes, options premiums get fat. That means the people selling premium get paid MORE when everyone else is panicking. I'm not fighting the market. I'm getting paid by it.
And here's the part most people have never heard... You can insure your stocks. Most traders buy puts to protect their stocks. They pay for that protection every single month (and usually end up losing money). I figured out how to get paid for it instead.
Same protection. Completely different math.
